Joshua Hutchins, MD
Dr. Hutchins was born and raised in Athens, Georgia, and is a lifelong Georgia Bulldog fan. He has lived in Charleston since the early 2000s but heads home to the north Georgia mountains as often as possible. When not at work, you will find him outside on the water fishing, playing tennis, riding motorcycles, or hunting, more often than not, with his family and two dogs.
He has been in the medical field for over 25 years, working through college coordinating organ and tissue recovery. He went to medical school in Grenada at St George University, which he reflects as one of the best experiences of his life. “I was blessed to live in such a beautiful place with a rich culture.” After medical school, he was trained in Rural Family Medicine and, through the years, has acquired a wide array of experience with all ages working in primary, urgent, emergency, and occupational medicine. He has a special interest in functional medicine and loves working with his patients to help them meet their health goals to prevent chronic disease.
